To Join or Not To Join armed Forces

Directors or producers of <a href=”http://heroes.erosentertainment.com/”>heroes</a> movie must have made the movie heroes with the intention to answer the question if to join or not to join Indian forces, definitely they want to convine the people that yes every one should join forces for the sake of the counry.

The biggest convincing point that they put forward is

if every one would like to stay at home, then who will fight for the country.

I never thought about joining forces before but after watching this movie, I am no where close to agree with the directors of this movie. I think they have not been able to make their point. Infact, they definitely gave me a food for thought.

Upon interospection, I have few points that convines me very well that why shouldnt one join the forces

1. who made the borders? we humanbeing. and then we are fighting to protect it. sound so stupid to me. Dont make any border, let the people fly like free birds. Remove the word country from the dictionary.

2. Now that we have countries, and I am sure no country wants to make his borders open, then if a government really think that armed forces is the most important thing, they pay them the best, more than any one else who earns in this country. Make country men to pay hight taxes and then pay excellent salaries to soldiers.

The movie keeps talking about the proud (garv in hindi) that a man and his family feels for that his son/daughter has joined the army. And then we use the word martyr and not dead for dead soldiers. Comeon, these are just fancy words that can no way take away the sorrows of dead soldiers.

What I think, instead of making people emotion fool by talking about patriotism, government should work on having a country with no border.

Morever, on a final note, I didnt like the end of the movie. Jassi who is a son of one of the martyr, shows up as a shaveless sikh in militiary uniform. Holy shit…………
